Soviet 152 mm ML-20 guns-howitzers are used to depict the German artillery. In reality, captured ML-20s were highly prized in Wehrmacht and adopted as 15.2 cm KH 433/1(r), so the usage of this guns against the Soviet troops is not impossible. As the guns are shown firing without any artillerymen near them, most likely these are CGI.

Snow and Ashes (Sneg i pepel) is a Russian 2015 war espionage mini-series directed by Sasha Kiriyenko. In Winter 1942, a large unit of Red Army falls into the enemy encirclement. Only a narrow isthmus in swamps connects this unit with the mainland. While Wehrmacht prepare for a decisive offensive, a German saboteur acts among the Soviet troops, hampering the defence. To expose him, Major Urusov (Denis Shvedov) of the counterintelligence service begins the investigation.
The commander of the partisans unit Yuzefovich (Igor Mosyuk) carries a Nagant M1895 revolver in holster.
Pistols
Tokarev TT-33
TT-33 pistols are seen in hands of Major Nikolay Urusov (Denis Shvedov) who acts under the name of the representative of the Supreme Command headquarters Col. Yampolskiy, the chief of staff Col. Zinoviy Borisovich Velyaminov (Anatoliy Belyy), Yefreytor Pavel Bezgin (Aleksey Grishin), scout Nikita Breus (Aleksey Krasnotsvetov), and nurse Natalya (Olga Sutulova).
Walther P38 (Denix)
Scout Aslan Bodoev (Antonis Shamanidi) carries a Walther P38. The appearance of the pistol and visible markings reveal it as a Denix non-firing replica.
Luger P08 (Denix)
Scout Nikita Breus (Aleksey Krasnotsvetov) carries a Luger P08. A P08 is also briefly seen in hands of Aslan Bodoev (Antonis Shamanidi) instead of the latter's common P38. The Luger is a non-firing Denix replica of the early model, identified by the markings on the frame.
Submachine Guns
PPSh-41
Several Soviet soldiers and partisans are armed with PPSh-41 submachine guns.
MP40
Yefreytor Pavel Bezgin (Aleksey Grishin) fires an MP40 when he tries to escape. Scouts Nikita Breus (Aleksey Krasnotsvetov) and Aslan Bodoev (Antonis Shamanidi) are armed with MP40s during the shootout on the train; in other scenes both mainly carry Denix replicas of MP40 (see below). MP40s are also seen in hands of a German soldier and one of the German agents who poses as a partisan.
MP40 (Denix)
Nikita Breus (Aleksey Krasnotsvetov) and Aslan Bodoev (Antonis Shamanidi) mainly carry Denix non-firing replicas of MP40 submachine guns, idenfitied by the typical greyish silumin surface. Same Denix MP40s are also seen in hands of some German soldiers.
MP40 (dummy)
When Breus and Bodoev jump or fall from the train, their MP40s are replaced with rubber props.
MP38
Due to a continuity error, Aslan Bodoev (Antonis Shamanidi) is also seen with an MP38 in the scene on the train. An MP38 is also seen in hands of a German soldier.
A number of Soviet scouts and partisans are armed with Mosin Nagant M1938 Carbines. Some of these carbines lack the front sights.
Mosin Nagant M1938 Carbine (visually modified as M1907 Carbine)
Several M38 carbines (or maybe M91/30 rifles) are visually modified to resemble M1907 Carbines. The origin of these guns is revealed by the rear sight of 1930 version and the position of crossbolts in the grasping grooves - off center while on original M91s and M07s they were centered.
Karabiner 98k
Several German soldiers and Soviet partisans are armed with Karabiner 98k rifles.
Karabiner 98k Sniper Rifle
German sniper Zickler (Romuald Makarenko) (his military rank is not specified) is armed with a Karabiner 98k with a Hensoldt Wetzlar sniper scope.
Machine Guns
Degtyaryov DP-27
The commander of the partisans unit Yuzefovich (Igor Mosyuk) and several Soviet soldiers use DP-27 machine guns.
ZB-53
A ZB-53 machine gun (German designation MG 37(t)) is mounted on a flatcar of a German train. It is captured and used by Aslan Bodoev (Antonis Shamanidi).
When German mortars shell the Soviet positions, two of the three mortars on screen are Granatwerfer 34.
BM-37 Mortar
One of the three German mortars turn out to be a Soviet BM-37.
Anti-Personnal Mine
During the chase after Zickler's group, Bodoev finds a planted anti-personnel mine. The scouts describe it as a German Springmine that contains 365 (360 in reality) steel balls. What is seen, differs from the S-Mine with its typical three-pronged pressure fuze; the fuze itself looks more like Soviet grenade fuze UZRG.
Trivia
ML-20

Pz. IV Tank Scale Models
An episode looks funny when a German General Wiedel (Dmitriy Podnozov) is developing an upcoming military operation, moving small models of Pz. IV tanks on the map.
