The first season originally aired in 2019 and in September 2020, the series was cancelled by both BBC Two and Netflix.
The series follows Tokyo police detective Kenzo Mori (Takehiro Hira), who heads to London in search of his brother Yuto (Yōsuke Kubozuka), who was until recently believed to be dead. The M1911A1 is usually used by yakuza wakashus during parts of the story set in Japan. Detective Roy (Tony Way) is handed one by Fukuhara when his compound's motion sensors detected armed intruders in the third episode. Ellis Vickers (Justin Long) uses it when he raids a restaurant with the Albanian mafia.
A stainless version is used by Yuto starting in episode 4, which he uses throughout his stay in London. Kenzo briefly uses the same pistol Yuto ditched in the eighth episode before he hands to DC Sarah Weitzmann (Kelly Macdonald).
SIG-Sauer P226
A SIG-Sauer P226 is used by a masked assassin in the fourth episode and is also sometimes used by some Yakuza wakashus. A stainless one is used by Jiro in a flashback sequence in the same episode.
SIG-Sauer P226R
A SIG-Sauer P226R is used by a masked assassin in the sixth episode.
Smith & Wesson 5906
The Smith & Wesson 5906 is first used by Abbott in the eighth episode before Kenzo takes it.
