Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 is the sequel to Sniper: Ghost Warrior from City Interactive, available on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game utilizes Crytek's Cry Engine 3. Is focused on the Marine sniper Cole Anderson, on the hunt of a bio-weapon across Philippine, Bosnia and India/Nepal.

This game is, obviously, focused on sniper rifles. Unlike the previous game, the player characters cannot use assault rifles, due to development time constraints. The game also has a multiplayer mode, wherein players can select their choice of rifle, rather than having them automatically assigned.
Handguns
SIG-Sauer P220
The SIG-Sauer P220 is Anderson's sidearm and holds 10 rounds. It can kill an enemy at 500 meters. The silencer is non removable though a few cutscenes show the gun without a silencer.
IMI/ Magnum Desert Eagle Mark VII
A Desert Eagle Mark VII is used by an enemy in Act 1 and can not be used by the player.
M45 MEU(SOC)
What appears to be an M45 MEU(SOC) pistol can be seen in a chest holster on Cole Anderson on the main menu. It does not appear in gameplay.
Assault/Battle Rifles
Heckler & Koch XM8
A Heckler & Koch XM8 is the most common assault rifle used by the allies, generally fitted with a suppressor, and is unusable by the player.
IMI Tavor TAR-21
The IMI Tavor TAR-21, generally fitted with a suppressor, is used by the enemy and unusable by the player.
INSAS
The INSAS Assault Rifle the main weapon of the opposition and incorrectly used by the Serbian Army in Sarajevo (a more correct choice would be the Zastava M70, and in Sarajevo your spotter, Maddox, carries a suppressed model. Like the Tavor, it is unusable by the player.
The DSR-Precision DSR-50 with a sound suppressor is a pre-order bonus weapon. It has an incorrect magazine capacity of 5 rounds instead of 3.
Izhmash SVD Dragunov
A Izhmash SVD Dragunov is available in every mission. Used mainly by enemy snipers, though it is unavailable to the player sometimes. It is very fast and accurate with little recoil.
Remington M24 Sniper Weapon System
The Remington M24 Sniper Weapon System available in Act Two gameplay and is equipped with a bipod and suppressor. In cutscenes, Anderson is shown holding it as if it had a pistol grip.
Remington MSR
The Remington MSR. The player's primary weapon in Act One. It has a 10 round magazine, 20" barrel and variable zoom scope. The MSR is fitted with a Suppressor, bipod, Is also anachronistically seen used by a Yugoslav National Army's sniper during the Siege of Sarajevo, which happened in 1993.
