Monster Hunter is a fantasy action thriller film written and directed by Paul W.S. Anderson. It is loosely based on the video game series of the same name by Capcom. The film stars Milla Jovovich, Tony Jaa, Tip "T.I." Harris, Meagan Good, Diego Boneta, Josh Helman, Jin Au-Yeung and Ron Perlman and follows a U.N. security team that is transported to another world via an ancient portal.
The following weapons were used in the film Monster Hunter (2020):
Pistols
Unknown Pistol
Link (Clifford "T.I." Harris, Jr.) has a pistol holstered which isn't seen clearly enough to identify.
Assault Rifles
M4A1
M4A1 carbines with red dot sights and laser modules are used by multiple members of the UN security team including Captain Natalie Artemis (Milla Jovovich).
AR-15 Variant
One member of the U.N. security team is armed with some kind of AR-15 SBR.
Sniper Rifles
Remington Mk 13 Mod 5
Link (T.I.) is armed with what appears to be a Remington Mk 13 Mod 5 sniper rifle.
Machine Guns
Browning M2HB
A Browning M2HB is seen mounted on the U.N. security team's Light Strike Vehicle.
FN M249 SAW
One of the U.N. security team soldiers is armed with an FN M249 SAW.
General Dynamics GAU-17/A
Captain Natalie Artemis (Milla Jovovich) is seen manning and firing a General Dynamics GAU-17/A mounted on a Humvee gun turret. Curiously, it has a handlebar grip similar to the Terminator 2 minigun.
Launchers
M72 LAW
Captain Natalie Artemis is seen firing an M72 LAW at a monster. Not only does she not extend the tube (which would render the weapon inoperable), but it's also seen with a HUD depicting a lock-on reticle as if it were a guided weapon even though she's aiming with iron sights. Interestingly the M72 is referred to in a movie as "RPG" by the soldiers.
