|
March of Millions is a 2007 German two-part film drama directed by Kai Wessel. Summer of 1944, Lena Countess von Mahlenberg returns from Berlin to her East Prussian homeland. Once there, the self-confident young woman is confronted not only with her family's past but also with the desolate situation of the civilian population. In the chaos of war, Lena revolted against senseless orders from the Wehrmacht and campaigned for the rights of forced laborers. In doing so, she develops a special relationship with the French prisoner François. As the Eastern Front approaches, a huge flow of refugees begins

A Luger P08 is briefly used by Heinrich von Gernstorff (Tonio Arango) to put a wounded horse out of its misery in the second episode.

Wehrmacht, SS soldiers and Feldgendarmerie (Military Police) are armed with MP40s. The leader of the Soviet squad (Sakalas Uzdavinys) at the end of Episode 1 is also armed with this submachine gun.

PPSh-41 submachine guns are used by some Soviet soldiers.

Some Soviets are also armed with PPS-43 submachine guns.

German soldiers, SS and Volkssturm can be seen with Karabiner 98ks. Ferdinand and later Fritz are seen with these carbines, too.

Fritz (Josef Mattes) can be seen with a full-length Mauser rifle, which seems to be a VZ-98/22 Czech Mauser.
Mosin Nagant M91/30
Soviet soldiers are mainly armed with Mosin Nagant M91/30 rifles. At the German checkpoint, German soldiers and Volkssturm members can also be seen Mosin-Nagants.

Some Mosin Nagant M44 Carbines are also used by Soviet soldiers.

A single Standard Modell rifle is briefly seen in the hands of a Feldgendarmerie.
