'''''7554: Glorious Memories Revived''''' (Vietnamese: 7554: Sống lại những ký ức hào hùng) is a first-person shooter video game developed by Vietnamese video game developer Emobi Games for Windows, with the intent of bringing attention the the history of modern Vietnam. It was released for Vietnamese markets on 16 December 2011. For the Western market, the game was translated (albeit poorly at times) and released on 20 July 2012. The export version features the original Vietnamese audio track with subtitles.
The game is set during the Franco-Vietnamese War from 1946 to 1954. The title is a reference to 7 May 1954, which was the date of the Việt Minh's victory over France at the Battle of Dien Bien Phu. The player assumes the role of Việt Minh soldiers during the First Indochina War, initially assuming the role of Hoàng Đăng Bình, a Việt Minh soldier fighting in the Battle of Hanoi (1946). He is joined by heavy weapons specialist Nguyễn Thế Vinh, sniper Lưu Trọng Hà, and anti-aircraft specialist Hoàng Đăng An. Over the course of the game, the player perspective switches between each of the four men; always giving unit and location. The game ends with the surrender of the French garrison in Dien Bien Phu. Viet Minh soldiers start herding away French troops with their hands up and a soldier raises the Vietnamese Yellow Star flag over General de Castries' bunker.
Many gameplay features seen in contemporary FPS games such as ''[[Call of Duty]]'' have been replicated in 7554, such as regenerating health, but with mixed success. Mechanics are rough, the hit registration is frustrating and the game lacks multiplayer. Some teammate have Vietnamese names, while others are simply labelled "Comrade". The player can only carry up to two firearms plus a melee weapon and hand grenades. Different weapons and ammo can be picked up from fallen soldiers and other locations while fixed weapon emplacements can also be used. The heads-up display shows an ammo counter and a stance icon. The player can crouch and lie prone (but cannot move and shoot at the same time), and is able to scale low walls and other obstacles.
The terrain and characterization are really well made and faithful, with historical characteristics of the battles being accurately portrayed. Briefing cutscenes show maps and explain the background of the battles, giving core historical information to the player. One of the most noticeables feature is the level of detail of the weapons and that each one has an alternate melee attack. The game is also accurate in terms of uniforms and diversity of soldiers, including Vietnamese, French, Magrebine and African soldiers with their own characteristic uniforms.
The game can be downloaded for free on the [http://7554.vn official website], but requires fixes to run.

The Lunge Mine is a conical hollow charge anti-tank mine, placed inside a metallic container and attached to the end of a wooden stick. The weapon is present in the game and is used in the first few minutes of the first mission by soldier Vinh, who charges an M8 Greyhound at the gates of Hotel Metropole. The weapon is a suicidal anti-tank weapon, with the user dying in the explosion - which is accurately portrayed in the game.

The following weapons were used in the videogame 7554:

Handguns
Colt M1911A1
The Colt M1911A1 appears ingame as the "Colt 1911", with a standard 7 round magazine.
Luger P08
The Luger P08 appears in-game as the "Luger P08", with a correct 8-round magazine.
MAC Mle 1950
The MAC Mle 1950 appears ingame as the "Mac 50". It uses a standard 9 round magazine.
The Arisaka Type 99 long rifle. Game name "Arisaka". It uses a standard 5 rounds in the magazine. Loading single cartridges. It has mounted a bayonet from which to attack.
It is indicated as a long rifle, not the much more common short rifle because it doesn't have a full length stock over the front end of the barrel. It is indicated as a Type 99 long rifle, not the much more common Type 38 long rifle because it has a monopod and Anti-Aircraft wings on it's rear sight.
It is strange the developers would use a rifle in the video game that there was less than 40,000 made, than the much more common varieties that millions were made.
The MAS-36. Game name "MAS 36". It uses a standard 5 rounds in the magazine. Loaded with five bullets boats. It has mounted a bayonet from which to attack.
MAS-49
MAS-49
The MAS-49/56. Game name "MAS 49".
The rifle is modeled on a MAS-49, but for some reason the receiver is modeled off of a MAS-49/56. The MAS-49/56 would be anachronistic as they were first produced in 1957 and the last French troops had left Vietnam the year prior.
MAS-49/56 Scoped
The MAS-49/56 Scoped. Game name "Scoped MAS 49". In the first-person view, it is modeled as a MAS-49/56, but in the world view, it appears as a MAS-49 with a scope, rubber cheek pad and bipod attached to the rifle.
The MAS-49/56 would be anachronistic as they were first produced in 1957 and the last French troops had left Vietnam the year prior.
The Chatellerault M1924/29. Game name "FM 24". It uses a standard 20 rounds box magazine. It has a bipod but you can not use it and does not affect the accuracy of shooting.
M1918 Browning Automatic Rifle
The M1918 Browning Automatic Rifle. Game name "M1918 Browning Automatic Rifle". It uses a standard 20 rounds in the magazine. It has a bipod but you can not use it and does not affect the accuracy of shooting.
