The SA vz-58 (sometimes erroneously called the CZ58) is a Czechoslovakian assault rifle designed in the 1950's. Although externally somewhat similar to the AK-47 series of rifles, it is actually a much different weapon, with the internals being closer to those of the German STG 44. Despite firing the same cartridge (7.62x39mm) as the AK-47 variants, no Vz.58 part, including the magazine, is interchangeable with those of the AK-47.
The SA Vz.58 can be seen in the following films, television series, and video games us by the following actors:

- Ngoc Le as the Việt Cộng sniper in Full Metal Jacket
- Roger Moore as James Bond in Octopussy
- Serbian soldiers in Behind Enemy Lines
- A Serbian gangster and Kim Bodnia as Harald in In China They Eat Dogs
- Mercenaries in Bad Company
- Czech policeman in xXx
- Slovak border guard in Living Daylights, The
