:Well, I actually think it's an A1 because of its hand guard shape. The A2 handguards have a straight shape (length wise) while the A1 shape is almost like a triangle in how the bottom part of it is diagonal while the top is straight. If you look at the screencaps of the M16, you will see that it definitely has A1 handguards, which means it is an M16A1.
