Malcolm X is the 1992 film about the controversial black civil rights leader and member of the Nation of Islam.
M2 Carbine
Late in the film Malcolm keeps watch in his home with an M2 Carbine that looks to be chambered .30 carbine.

A few moments later, right before the firebombing of his house, Malcolm takes out a Colt M1911 and draws the slide back. Another one is seen in the scene where Malcolm's assassins prepare their arsenal.
