The AX308 is available with at least 5 different barrel lengths but the 20 in (50.8 cm) is the standard. After 2014 the AX308 adopted the same stock and quick detach barrel system as the AXMC.

Like the AX308, the AX338 is available with with multiple different barrel lengths but the 27 in (68.6 cm) is the standard. In 2014 the standard AX338 was replaced by a variant with a quick change barrel known as the AXMC. Although only manufactured chambered in .338 Lapua the AX338 can accept any of the barrel for the AXMC, although without the quick-detach feature.

Accuracy International AXMC

Accuracy International AXMC - .338 Lapua Magnum

The AXMC (AX Multi Calibre) is a quick change barrel multi calibre version of the AX338 which it replaced in 2014. The AXMC introduced a new style of stock however both styles can be fitted to either the AXMC or the older AX338, so the only definitive difference is the hex bolt for the quick change barrel system on the right side of the receiver. This rifle was originally designed in 2012 as Accuracy International's entry into the SOCOM Precision Sniper Rifle solicitation, where the ability to quickly break the rifle down was a required feature.
