The officer should have an East German Makarov anyway, but in the film the squared off trigger guard indicates that it is the Hungarian version of the [[Makarov PM]], which is the FEG MAK380.

The Debt is the 2010 American remake of the 2007 Israeli film of the same name. The film stars Sam Worthington, Jessica Chastain, Helen Mirren, Marton Csokas and Tom Wilkinson, and is directed by John Madden. The film centers around a Israeli Mossad team tasked with hunting down a notorious German doctor and the repercussions of the mission decades later. The film premiered in October 2010 at the Mill Valley Film Festival, but would not get a wide release until the next August.

The following weapons were used in the film The Debt:

Pistols

Beretta Model 70

A single Beretta Model 70 is carried by the Mossad team at the safehouse in Berlin and is supposedly the weapon young Rachel Singer (Jessica Chastain) uses to shoot the doctor.

Young Stephan (Marton Csokas) removes the suppressor from the Beretta Model 70. Unlike with most movie suppressors, the Beretta actually has a threaded barrel, and the suppressor screws onto it, not into it.

Young Stephan pulls back the slide to prepare to break it down for cleaning.

Makarov PM

A young Rachel Singer (Jessica Chastain) can be seen with a Makarov PM. She takes it from an East German border guard officer.

Beretta 92FS Inox

In some publicity material for the film, such as the poster above, Rachel can be seen armed with a Beretta 92FS Inox. Its presence would by anachronistic in the 1960s since the Beretta 92FS Inox pistol did not begin production until the 1990's.
