The Scout Der Scout ; full German title Der Scout - Tausend Mustangs und ein Hauptling ) is a 1983 East German-Mongolian Western ("Red Western") movie directed by Konrad Petzold and Dshamjangijn Buntar and starring Gojko Mitic as White Feather, the chief of Nez Perces tribe in 1877. White Feather takes a mission to return horses of his tribe, taken away by US cavalry. In order to complete his mission he volunteered to be a scout in Col. Howard's unit. This is the last appearance of Gojko Mitic in DEFA Westerns, started in 1966 in The Sons of Great Bear
