The Great Consoler (Russian: Великий утешитель; Veliky uteshitel) is a Soviet 1933 B&W drama loosely based on the facts of O. Henry's life.

Det. Ben Price (Andrey Fayt) puts his duty Smith & Wesson No.3 Russian Model on the table at the final scene. Dulcie (Aleksandra Khokhlova) grabs and fires it a few minutes later.
