Tom Cruise (born July 3, 1962) is an American film actor and producer whose notable films include Taps, Top Gun, A Few Good Men, Minority Report, The Last Samurai and Collateral in addition to the Mission: Impossible franchise of films. He has also been nominated for Academy Awards for his roles in the films Born on the Fourth of July, Magnolia, and Jerry Maguire. He also is the cousin of actor William Mapother and the adoptive father of Connor Cruise.
