The New Centurions is a 1972 crime drama directed by Richard Fleischer and based on the novel by Joseph Wambaugh, the former LAPD veteran turned crime novelist. As in the novel, the film depicts the dramatic life of rookie LAPD officer Roy Fehler (Stacy Keach) and his veteran partner Andy Kilvinski (George C. Scott).

During a fight, a criminal uses a revolver that has a shrouded ejector rod and duty sights. It is seen only in darkness and resembles the Smith & Wesson "Triple Lock".
