Avalanche from the Mountains (direct translation of the original title Lavina s gor) is a Soviet 1959 (filmed 1958) historical movie, directed by Vasily Zhuravlyov. It depicts the events of Russian Revolution 1917 on North Caucasus. Soldier of Kabardian horse regiment Ansor returns home from battlefield and finds his family in dire need. Soon Ansor and his comrades-in-arms decide to join Bolsheviks, led by prominent revolutionary leader Sergei Mironovich Kirov.

A percussion cap musket is seen in hands of Lina (Inna Vykhodtseva), at first Ansor's sworn enemy and then his bride. This gun is probably converted from flintlock to percussion cap. Originally it was possibly Russian M1808 Infantry or M1809 Dragoon musket.
