The Thunder is a prototype breech-loaded single-shot .50 BMG handgun by Triple Action, LLC of Utah. Triple Action was not a firearms firm, and the weapon was more or less a proof-of-concept for Triple Action's patented shock absorbing system invented by the weapon's designer Janos Lakatos.
