- For another film, see Piranha 3D (2010).
Piranha (Охота на пиранью Okhota na piranyu; Hunting for Piranha) is a Russian high budget film, directed by Andrei Kavun (Kandahar).
The following weapons were used in the film Piranha:
Pistols
Makarov PM
Several characters carry Makarov PMs. Vasily Stepanovich Zhgutov (Maksim Drozd) uses a Makarov PM in a few scenes. Sivyi (Aleksandr Golubev) fires a Makarov PM during the hunt. Zima (Sergei Garmash) and Kirill Mazur (Vladimir Mashkov) can be seen armed with them at the film climax. One of the criminals in the cafe also uses a Makarov.
Desert Eagle Mark XIX
Several characters are seen using a Desert Eagle Mark XIX. Prokhor (Yevgeny Mironov) bought it for his girlfriend Sinilga (Viktoriya Isakova). Zima (Sergei Garmash) briefly holds it, but never fires.
Luger P08
Prokhor's (Yevgeny Mironov) personal sidearm is a chrome-plated Luger P08.
Beretta 92F/FS
One of the criminals in the cafe briefly holds two Beretta 92F/FSs.
Submachine guns
MAC-10
A MAC-10 is seen on a table. Sancho, the Guns dealer (Aleksandr Novin) also uses one. At the film climax Kirill Mazur (Vladimir Mashkov) captures it from one of Prokhor's men.
Assault Rifles
AKS-74
The gun dealer's henchmen can be seen armed with AKS-74 rifles. These can be differentiated from the similar AKS-74U rifles (which are also used in the film) by their full-length barrels.
AKS-74U
Several of Prokhor's men (including Vasily Stepanovich Zhgutov (Maksim Drozd)) use it. Kirill Mazur (Vladimir Mashkov) and Zima (Sergey Garmash) capture two of them for themselves. Later, Kirill sold his AKS-74U to Fyodor (Yuri Pristrom). Olga Khmelnitskaya (Svetlana Antonova) briefly uses an AKS-74U. The Security Guard (Andrei Nevrayev) at the film beginning as well as one of the criminals in the cafe also uses one.
AKM
Some of the rifles used appear to be mocked-up AKMs instead of AK-74 derivatives. This can be determined by the curvature of the magazine.
Colt M4A1
A Colt M4A1 is seen on a table. Ibrahim (Ramil Sabitov) bought it.
Heckler & Koch G36
Sancho (Aleksandr Novin) solds Heckler & Koch G36 to Prokhor (Yevgeny Mironov).
Rifles
VSS Vintorez
Kirill (Vladimir Mashkov) captures a VSS Vintorez from one of the Prokhor's man. Zima (Sergei Garmash) unloads it.
Mosin Nagant M1891/30
Mishanya (Andrey Dubrovskiy) carries a Mosin Nagant M1891/30 on his shoulder. One of Prokhor's men also carries one. It could even be the same gun. Kirill Mazur (Vladimir Mashkov) later holds the rifle, but does not take it for an unknown reason. Later, this gun was used by Evenk (Bolot Bairyshev).
Berdan Rifle
Kuzmich (Aleksey Gorbunov) owns a Berdan Rifle. Evenk (Bolot Bairyshev) also uses the similar rifle.
Shotguns
FABARM SDASS PRO FORCES
Sancho (Aleksandr Novin) draws a FABARM SDASS PRO FORCES.
Mossberg 500 Cruiser
Kirill Mazur (Vladimir Mashkov) captures a Mossberg 500 Cruiser from one of the Prokhor's man and fires it before it runs out of ammo.
TOZ-34
One of the rapist owns TOZ-34. Kirill Mazur (Vladimir Mashkov) disarms him, and destroys the gun. At the film climax, Kirill Mazur (Vladimir Mashkov) captures one and fires it one time.
Benelli M3
Sivyi (Aleksandr Golubev) carries Benelli M3 throughout the movie..
12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun
Petya (Andrey Merzlikin) owns 12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun. Nina (Anna Ukolova) uses 12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun. One of the criminals in the cafe also uses it.
Franchi SPAS-15
One of the Prokhor's man can be seen armed with the Franchi SPAS-15.
Other
Rocket launcher
An unknown rocket launcher is seen. It appears to be a Soviet/Russian disposable model, possibly an RPG-18, RPG-22, or RPG-26
Lighter Pistol
Militiaman (Mikhail Efremov) gave his lighter pistol to Prokhor (Yevgeny Mironov). This is clearly supposed to resemble an Italian-made Beretta 92FS Inox.
F-1 hand grenade
Sancho carry a pair of F-1 hand grenades Kirill Mazur took it for himself.
