Beneath Hill 60 is a 2010 World War I film that tells extraordinary true story of Oliver Woodward (Brendan Cowell), a former miner turned military officer leading a unit fighting for the Australian Army in 1915 who must must tear himself from his new young love to go to the mud and carnage of the Western Front deep beneath the German lines. Woodward and his secret platoon of Australian tunnelers fight to defend a leaking, labyrinthine tunnel system packed with enough high explosives to change the course of the War.

Vickers Mk1 Machine Gun
Two Northumberland Fusiliers, Potsy (Bob Franklin) and Stoat (Anthony Ring) use a Vickers Mk1 Machine Gun to cover a night patrol across No-Man's-Land. An Australian crew also use the Vickers at Hill 60.
Webley Mk VI
Oliver Woodward (Brendan Cowell) uses a Webley Mk VI throughout the film. An Australian officer can also be seen with one before the Hill 60 charge.
Mills Bomb
Before the Battle of Messines an Australian soldier distributed a few Mills Bombs .
German Weapons
Mauser Gewehr 1898
German soldiers can be seen with the Mauser Gewehr 1898. A German sniper uses a scoped Mauser in an attempt to kill Oliver Woodward (Brendan Cowell).
Maxim MG08
German soldiers use the Maxim MG08 to harass the trenches from a dug in position known as the "Red House."
Luger P08
A German tunneler can be seen using a Luger P08.
Mauser C96
A German soldier can be seen with the Mauser C96 as he awaits the Australian charge.
Model 16 Stielhandgranate
A German soldier holds a Model 16 Stielhandgranate as he awaits the Australian charge. Recognizable by the larger warhead and the thicker stick than the Model 17 Stielhandgranate.
