A Quiet Place is a 2018 American post-apocalyptic, horror, survival, thriller starring John Krasinski and his real world wife Emily Blunt. The story takes place a few years in the future. Earth has been invaded by a race of powerful aliens who rely totally on their hearing to find their prey - Humans. When the story begins most of the Human race has been destroyed. The Talbot family is surviving by living as quietly as possible. They have three children and the mother (Emily Blunt) is expecting their fourth child. Much of the movie has no spoken dialogue. Instead the family communicates with American Sign Language. This is explained due to the fact that one of their children is deaf and the family knows ASL as a result. The movie has enjoyed a strong box office and rave reviews. John Krasinski co-wrote the movie and directed it.
