Kotovsky is a Soviet 1942 biopic about the life of Grigory Ivanovich Kotovsky, an outlaw turned revolutionary and one of the prominent commanders of the Red Army during the Russian Civil war. The movie is directed by Aleksandr Faintsimmer.

When Kotovsky, being a chief of outlaws in mid 1900s, makes a raid on Karakozen Sr.'s estate, Karakozen Jr. (Mikhail Astangov ) fires a pistol that appears to be a member of vast family of Star Ruby Pistols . Same looking pocket pistol is seen in hands of a White Army officer (Mikhail Grodskiy ) in the scene, set in Odessa in 1918.
