When Thomas Jefferson Johnson (Eddie Murphy) goes on a hunting trip with some lobbyists, they are seen opening fire on birds with M16/SP1 rifles. These rifles are seen in the hands of both Dick Dodge (Lane Smith) as well as Thomas.
