M1 Garand

The M1 Garand appears in the game as the standard-issue weapon of U.S. Army Soldiers in the game, and is the weapon the player starts out with in the first level. It also cannot be reloaded until the entire en block clip is expended.

in the level the golden lion can someone verify this but i swear a german who sits down at the bar is carrying an m1 garand

M1A1 Thompson

The M1A1 Thompson appears in the game as an available SMG in levels where U.S. forces are present, such as in the first level set during the D-Day landings in Normandy.

M1919 Machine Gun

The Browning M1919 machine gun appears in the level "Seaside Stowaway" mounted on a U.S. Army Jeep that crashes after being strafed by a German Me-109 fighter. Manning the machine gun will trigger a wave of enemy soldiers to attack, but you have unlimited ammunition for the weapon with which to dispatch the enemy.

M1903A4 Springfield

The sniper variant of the M1903 Springfield appears in the game as a sniper rifle in some of the earlier levels. It has a somewhat slow rate of fire due to the bolt-action nature of the rifle, but it is incredibly accurate.

Winchester Model 1897

The militarized version of the Winchester Model 1897 shotgun appears in several levels, including in the bar in a mansion occupied by a hgh-ranking German officer, of all places. In the level "Yard by Yard", an elderly civilian, possibly a WW1 veteran, appears wielding one of these weapons, seemingly wanting to join forces with you, though is soon killed by a German sniper, using the weapon to point out the direction the fatal shots came from before dying.

M1A1 "Bazooka"

The M1A1 "Bazooka" appears in the game as an anti-tank/heavy weapon in the game. Contrary to the real-life version, it can be effectively operated by a single person, which at best would be highly impractical in a combat situation. It also is more effective as an anti-personnel weapon than its' original anti-tank role, taking several rounds to destroy the Panzer IV's present in the game. One can also be found in a stockpile of captured Allied weapons in a German base near the end of the game.

in the game they have the gun the wrong way round, as it has a beak on it at the front

Short Magazine Lee-Enfield

The Short Magazine Lee-Enfield rifle, particularly the No. 1 Mk III* variant, appears in the hands of British Army soldiers in the "Arhem Knights" level, and are exclusive to the computer-controlled soldiers and not available for use by the player.

Sten SMG

The Sten SMG appears in the "Arnhem Knights" level in the hands of British Army soldiers, particularly the squad leader, Master Sgt. Kelso (an anachronism, as there is no rank of Master Sergeant in the British Army, Kelso would be a Warrant Officer Class 2), encountered at the start of the level. Like the Lee-Enfield, the Sten is exclusive to the AI British soldiers and not available for player use.

Mk 2 Hand Grenade

The Mk 2 hand grenade is one of two HE-Frag hand grenades available in the game. Like the other U.S.-made weapons, it is generally available where U.S. Army forces are present. the player must take care when using this as the Germans will occasionally try to catch the grenade and throw or kick it back at you before it explodes.

Browning Automatic Rifle

The Browning Automatic Rifle appears in the game as one of the most effective allied automatic weapons. It has a slow rate of fire compared to the real-life BAR, has limited ammo, and is somewhat inaccurate at long range, but is still an effective weapon when engaged with multiple enemies.

Karabiner 98k

The Karabiner 98k rifle appears as the standard-issue infantry rifle of the German forces in the game. Like the Lee-Enfields and Stens of the British Army, it is only available for use by computer-controlled German characters. Scoped versions can be seen in the Nijmegen Bridge level used by the snipers. They are not to be confused with the Gewehr 43 as they make the same sound when fired, but after each shot, the sniper has to pause to pull the bolt back.

Gewehr 43

The Gewehr 43 appears in the game fitted with a ZF 4 scope and used as a sniper rifle by German forces, particularly in later levels of the game. Accuracy is comparable to the M1903 Springfield, though it has the advantage of a faster rate of fire, quicker reload, and increased ammo capacity.

Sturmgewehr 44

The Sturmgewehr 44 appears in the game as the "Stg44". Unlike the real-life version, it can only fire in full auto mode with no semi-automatic mode. It operates similarly to the BAR, but has a higher rate of fire and magazine capacity. It is generally considered to be one of the most effective small arms in the game, and appears in the later levels where German weapons are prevalent.

MG34 Machine Gun

In several levels, the player will have to engage and destroy Panzer 4 tanks, which in addition to the cannon, are also armed with MG34 machine guns mounted in the front of the hull. It is the only machine gun in the game that the player cannot comandeer.

MG42 Machine Gun

The MG42 machine gun appears frequently in the game as a fixed weapon in machine gun nests and guard towers, even mounted on an armored train in the level "Riding out the Storm". Just like the M1919 machine gun, manning one will trigger a swarm of enemies to come forth to attack, though you again have the benefit of unlimited ammo with which to counter the threat. The MG42 is also erroneously shown being capable of destroying tanks; a few seconds' sustained fire being enough to decimate a Panzer IV tank, something the real-life MG42 could never achieve.

Panzerschreck

The Panzerschreck appears in the game as the German counterpart to the American Bazooka. One drawback it has compared to the Bazooka is that the blast shield obscures your vision and can make it difficult to effectively engage targets at times. Another, like the Bazooka, it takes a lot of shots to sucessfully destroy a Panzer IV tank.

Model 24 Stielhandgranate

The Model 24 Stielhandgranate appears in the game as the German counterpart to the Allied Mk 2 hand grenade. Just like the Mk 2, some enemies will occasionally try to toss or kick the grenade back at you before it explodes. Sometimes a skilled shooter can wound an enemy as he's preparing to throw one of these grenades, causing him to drop it and kill himself and any other nearby enemies when the grenade detonates.
