Saxon M1873 Army revolver (Sachsen Reichsrevolver M1873) is a service revolver, designed and put into service in the Kingdom of Saxony. It was based on Smith & Wesson Model 2 revolver and became the first German revolver using a metal cartridge. The revolver was manufactured in 1873-1878 by F Langenhahn in Zella-Mehlis in two models: M1873 and slightly improved M1874.
