Detonator II: Night Watch: Difference between revisions
Detonator II: Night Watch is a 1995 British-American action movie directed by David Jackson and starring Pierce Brosnan and Alexandra Paul as Mike Graham and Sabrina Carver, agents of fictional UNACO international anti-crime organisation. The duo investigates the theft of the famous Rembrandt's painting The Night Watch. The investigation leads them to much more serious plot. The movie is the sequel to 1993's Detonator, but also was released under the title Night Watch. Night Watch is often but incorrectly claimed to be based on Alistair MacLean's novel of the same name, but the author of the original novel is Alistair MacNeill while MacLean remade it into screenplay.
The following weapons were used in the film Detonator II: Night Watch:
During the chase in Hong Kong Mike Graham (Pierce Brosnan) is armed with the stainless steel M1911A1. The close examination allows to guess that this is an airsoft replica: the pistol has internal barrel of about twice smaller caliber, the slide doesn't move when the pistol fires, and the muzzle flame looks rather CGI.
During the shootout on Amsterdam street Miles Van Dehn (Hidde Maas) is armed with a pistol that looks like TT-33 (or possibly Yugoslavian Zastava M57 as the movie was partially filmed in Croatia).
Submachine Guns
M84 Skorpion
During the chase in Hong Kong Mao Yixin (Kay Siu Lim) is armed with the Skorpion machine pistol. In the final scene Mike Graham (Pierce Brosnan) also uses the Skorpion. The gun looks more like Yugoslavian M84 version.
Uzi
Mao Yixin's (Kay Siu Lim) Skorpion switches to Uzi when he threatens Sabrina Carver. In the final scene Sabrina's MP5 switches to Uzi.
Micro Uzi
Mao Yixin's (Kay Siu Lim) Uzi switches to Micro Uzi during the final part of the chase and the shootout in the port. Mao's driver is also armed with Micro Uzi.
Heckler & Koch MP5A3
When attacking Schraeder's estate, most UNACO agents, including Mike Graham (Pierce Brosnan) and Sabrina Carver (Alexandra Paul), are armed with Heckler & Koch MP5A3 SMGs. Graham's SMG is used by Nick Caldwell (William Devane) during the attack on North Korean ship. The guns look more like Heckler & Koch MP5 SD6 Spring Airsoft Gun than the genuine MP5.
FMK-3
What appears to be the FMK-3 SMG is seen in hands of UNACO operative.
Assault Rifles
Zastava M70AB2
Most Mao's henchmen and crewmembers of the North Korean ship are armed with AKMS-style assault rifles. The movie was partially filmed in Croatia, so these guns are possibly Zastava M70AB2.
Heckler & Koch G3
A soldier of unnamed North African state fires the Heckler & Koch G3 rifle in the opening scene.
Heckler & Koch HK33
Heckler & Koch HK33 rifles are seen in hands of UNACO operatives during the attack on Schraeder's estate and of some North Korean crewmembers.
Other Weapons
Milkor MGL
Milkor MGL grenade launcher is used by Nick Caldwell (William Devane) in the final scene. Probably the same weapon is used by a soldier in the opening scene.
