::: I made the assumption they tried to correctly portray the MG as a German Maxim as the tripod mount for it in the anime is indeed that of the MG08's, but since the animators were Japanese, they probably had captured Type 24s from WWII museums as reference from their research trips. Therefore I think is still fair to list it as a MG08, but leave in the notes about the Type 24 muzzle disk in the description. BTW, good eye on that detail. -- SSgt LuLZ 12:03, 10 March 2017 (GMT) | ::: I made the assumption they tried to correctly portray the MG as a German Maxim as the tripod mount for it in the anime is indeed that of the MG08's, but since the animators were Japanese, they probably had captured Type 24s from WWII museums as reference from their research trips. :::: Though it has the sledge mount, that doesn't make it proper to list the actual gun as a MG08. Only the Type 24 has the muzzle disk. The MG08 doesn't. With that, you should actually do the opposite - list it as a Type 24 and mention it has the sledge mount and is meant to stand in for a MG08. That is generally how it's done on the site - Primary listing is not what it's meant to represent, but what it actually is. We don't list Type 56s as AKs/AKMs just because they have some features of the latter fitted, etc. StanTheMan (talk) 01:25, 10 March 2017 (EST) | |||

I've seen that there wasn't a page for Youjo Senki, so decided to start it up. Images are all screenshots I've taken for my blog in which I talk about the weapons featured in the series. --Jusuchin (talk) 21:07, 8 March 2017 (EST)

Maxims/Other IDs
The one in the first cap looks to take after the Russian variant, given it lacks the cone-shaped muzzle end common to those but not MG08s, while the second clearly has the muzzle disk of the Chinese version. StanTheMan (talk) 02:27, 9 March 2017 (EST)
- The first image (originally) might actually be a British Vickers Medium Machine Gun, since this universe's version of Britain, the Allied Kingdom might have supplied their Republic allies. -- SSgt LuLZ 17:52, 9 March 2017 (GMT)
- I concur this might indeed be a Vickers instead. Certainly not an MG08 in any case. The second I'm still quite certain is a Type 24, again, the muzzle disk is pretty plain. StanTheMan (talk) 15:00, 9 March 2017 (EST)
