The following weapons appear in Rambo: The Video Game:
One of the rifles Rambo uses is listed as a "Colt AR-15 variant" despite firing in fully automatic, making it actually a hybrid member of the M16 rifle series. The rifle has a full length barrel, detachable handguards and a folding carbine stock, making it likely an M16A3 or M16A4 upper on a carbine receiver.
Lacking the Soviet 40mm BG-15 grenade launcher, which was mounted to the real AK-74 rifles in the Russo-Afghan war, the game armorers attached a U.S. made M203 grenade launcher to a Maadi AKM (ARM) rifle (with an aftermarket side folding stock) and called the weapon the "AK-47 GL". This was done to reference a similar weapon in Rambo III, where it was wielded by Sgt. Kourov (Randy Raney). The mating of an M203 to an AK has been done much later (in the 21st century) by militias in Africa and there are some Communist (or former Communist) bloc 'clones' of the M203.
