: Actually I believe the Model 26 is just the 'Target' version, while Model 25 is more the standard or 'duty' version - Akin to the Model 14/Model 15 relation. Both were available in LC and ACP chamberings. StanTheMan (talk) 01:47, 10 December 2016 (EST)

::My bad. Strangely, I can't find any photos of the Model 26, and all photos of the 25 show it with target sights and ejector rod shroud. Incidentally, when did S&W switch from the pencil barrel to the bull barrel? My 1950 Target (pre-25, .45 Auto) and half the photos I can find are the pencil barrel, but the others show the bull barrel. --Maxman (talk) 16:08, 11 December 2016 (EST)
