The Mad Dog Killer (original title La belva col mitra ("The beast with machine gun")) is a 1977 Italian crime movie directed by Sergio Grieco. A group of criminals, lead by murderous Nanni Vitali (Helmut Berger), escapes from prison. Commissioner Giulio Santini (Richard Harrison) starts a hunt for the gang.

Smith & Wesson Military & Police
A Smith & Wesson Military & Police revolver is used by Bruno Esposito (Sergio Smacchi) during the prison break. In the final scene Aldo Spaccesi (Alberto Squillante) also carries an S&W revolver.
Beretta M1951
A Beretta M1951 is Commissioner Santini's (Richard Harrison) personal handgun. M1951 pistols are also seen in hands of other police detectives and criminals, including Nanni Vitali (Helmut Berger).

Beretta Model 70 pistols are seen in several scenes.

Nanni Vitali (Helmut Berger) and two of his henchmen, Mario Portesi (Antonio Basile) and Bruno Esposito (Sergio Smacchi), use Beretta M12 SMGs during the heist. M12s are also carried by police.

Bolt Action Rifle
In one scene Nanni Vitali (Helmut Berger) uses a bolt action rifle with a sniper scope. Vitali loads a new cartridge after a shot so the rifle appears to be a single shot model.
