Designated Survivor is a television political drama series that stars Kiefer Sutherland as Tom Kirkman, the mild mannered Secretary of Housing and Urban Development who is chosen to be the "designated survivor" during the President's State of the Union address. He then suddenly finds himself having to assume the mantle of the Presidency when a devastating attack on the US Capitol building wipes out nearly the entire US government during the speech. The series premiered in the US on ABC in 2016.

The Glock 17 is used by Al-Sakar leader Majid Nassar (Nicholas Massouh) during a Navy SEAL in the Abbas Hospital in Algeria near the end of "The Mission" (S1E05).

Heckler & Koch MP5A3
What appears to be a Heckler & Koch MP5A3 is used by a Secret Service agent escorting Tom Kirkman to the White House in "Pilot" (S1E01).
Heckler & Koch MP7A1
The Heckler & Koch MP7A1 is used by Commander Max Clarkson (Dylan Walsh) during the raid in Algeria in "The Mission" (S1E05).

A couple of AK-74s are seen on the insignia of Al-Sakar, first seen in "The First Day" (S1E02).
Colt M16A2
Colt M16A4s are sometime seen carried by American soldiers. The rifles are fitted with ACOGs and plain A2 style handguards.
Colt M4A1
The Colt M4A1 is seen used by American military and law enforcement personnel. Majid Nassar is seen with it in an AS propaganda video in "The Confession" (S1E03).
Colt Mk.18
SEALs are seen with Colt Mark 18 Mod 0 CQB carbines throughout "The Mission" (S1E05).
Heckler & Koch G36C
The Heckler & Koch G36C is used by the Secret Service's Counter Assault Team as one of their main assault rifles.
Heckler & Koch HK416
The Heckler & Koch HK416 is seen used by some USSS CAT operators in "Pilot" (S1E01).
Norinco Type 56
A Norinco Type 56 is seen with Al-Sakar fighters in Algeria during a raid in "The Mission" (S1E05). Since the scenes were shot at night, it's hard to determine the specific variant.

An AT4 is seen slung on the back of a SEAL during the raid in Algeria near the end of "The Mission" (S1E05).
