The China Syndrome is a 1979 thriller starring Jack Lemmon as the supervisor of a nuclear power plant who stumbles upon severe safety hazards at said plant and tries to expose them, ultimately taking a news reporter hostage to do so. The film's cast included Michael Douglas (who also served as the film's producer) and Jane Fonda. This film gained more notoriety than usual as it was released just 12 days before the infamous Three Mile Island nuclear power plant accident.

Jack Godell (Jack Lemmon) is seen taking a Smith & Wesson Model 10 from a security guard to threaten the technicians inside the control room of the nuclear power plant.
M16 (SP1)
Several SWAT officers are seen armed with the M16 (SP1)s. They are fitted with M16A1 flash hiders to pass for A1s.
Ithaca 37
Another SWAT officer is briefly seen armed with an Ithaca 37 shotgun.
