Your lack of effort is duly noted. This article is a candidate for deletion. IMFDB expects certain minimal standards from articles; even if a contributor cannot take their own screenshots, it is still possible to create detailed per-weapon writeups and format an article correctly. Simply dumping a couple of weapon names on a page is essentially demanding we do all the work for you, and this is unacceptable. |
The following weapons can be seen in the video game Area-51:
Pistols
M-11 "Scorpion" Pistol
The standard issue sidearm to Area 51 personnel. The weapon's overall size and shape best resembles a Desert Eagle. The gun has a built in flashlight along with a red-dot scope mounted on the slide. The magazine holds 8 rounds and each round is fairly powerful. Its name suggests the devlopers wanted to pass it off as a replacement for the Beretta M9; unfortunately, there already is a handgun with the designation M11, the SIG-Sauer P228.

Assault Rifles
XM-32 "Viper" Assault Rifle
The standard issue assault rifle for Area 51 personnel, Illuminati soldiers, and can carried by some alien mutants. The weapon best resembles the Heckler & Koch HK53 compact assault rifle and like the pistol, the weapon has a built in flashlight and scope. The gun can fire either in semi or full automatic alongside the ability to be dual wielded. Accuracy is fairly decent on semi-automatic but quickly decreases on full automatic and even more when dual wielded.
Frustratingly, the player is forced to dual wield whether they want to or not (similar to Crysis), although reloading will cause the player to drop their off-handed rifle. The scope is not actually useable; aiming down the sights will just cause the picture to narrow, similar to older shooters like Battlefield:1942.
Shotguns
M-170 "Hammer" Combat Shotgun
The standard issue shotgun to Area 51 personnel and carried by some alien mutants. The weapon best resembles a SPAS-12 and like the "Viper", can also be dual wielded. The biggest change from the real SPAS-12 is that it has two barrels, two magazine tubes, and two ejection ports on both sides of the receiver. The weapon holds 10 rounds (presumably 5 in each tube) and standard fire consists of one round at a time while secondary fires two. So when using secondary fire when dual wielded, the weapon will fire four shots at a time causing immense damage. The gun also has a built in flashlight but no scope.
Sniper Rifles
SR-125 "Wraith" Special Purpose Rifle
The main sniper rifle of the game, the weapon best resembles the PSG-1 sniper rifle. The weapon holds 6 rounds and each round is extremely powerful. The scope magnifications of the weapon consist of 2x zoom and 10x zoom.
