Ed Harris is an American actor well known for such roles as John Glenn in the 1983 film The Right Stuff, Gen. Frank Hummel in 1996's The Rock, and Gene Kranz in 2005's Apollo 13, a role for which he received his third Academy Award nomination. He also has directed the feature Appaloosa and co-stars as "The Man in Black" in the HBO adaptation of Westworld.
