Hiya.

Cozmo here. I'm 38, from Minneapolis, and been a long-time firearms aficionado. I worked in a gun shop when I was in my early 20s. Joined the Army when I was 17, and spent 9 years in the Army Reserve and National Guard as an armorer, so I serviced every weapon from the M9 pistol to the big 25mm Bushmaster guns on Bradley IFVs. I've owned a number of firearms, but right now I just have a shotgun. Hoping to pick up a handgun or two at some point before I die.

Favourites

Here's a short list:

Movies

  • Star Wars (all of 'em...there are even some cool things about the prequels)
  • Lord of the Rings
  • James Bond Series (especially the ones with Daniel Craig, whom I feel is the best and most believable Bond)
  • Django Unchained
  • The Mexican
  • The Sting
  • The Big Lebowski
  • The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou
  • The Darjeeling Limited
  • Unforgiven
  • Rio Bravo
  • The Outlaw Josey Wales
  • The X-Men trilogy
  • Saving Private Ryan
  • The Thin Red Line
  • Lethal Weapon series
  • Die Hard series
  • The Matrix series
  • Star Trek (Reboots and some of the originals)

TV

  • Lost
  • Arrested Development
  • The IT Crowd
  • Stranger Things
  • Band of Brothers
  • The Walking Dead
  • The Office (UK)
  • Extras
  • Ken Burns' "The War"
  • Archer
  • Firefly
  • Long Way Round/Long Way Down

Video Games

Red Dead Redemption Halo franchise Mafia II Mass Effect franchise Assassin's Creed Fallout Red Orchestra Farcry GTA: Vice City GTA: San Andreas Just Cause Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault (yeah, it was buggy, but I liked the story and characters, and the weapons were well done)

I'm not really a fan of the Call of Duty games. I'm sure the multiplayer is awesome, but I never liked the campaigns. They're just too over-the-top.

Firearms

I've owned a 9mm Beretta M92FS Police Special (same as a regular M92FS, but with a special "PS/shield" stamp on the slide), an old pinned-barrel Smith & Wesson Model 10 in chrome, a Czech CZ-50 in 7.65mm, an M1 Garand, and the sawn-off Marlin Goose Gun that I have now. Eventually I'd like to acquire a few more, but funds are the thing holding me back from that. My wishlist includes a Colt Detective Special, HK Mk23, PPK, M1911A1 (old-school...Kimbers are fine, but not for me), and a S&W M19 or M66.

Other

I'm big into motorcycles. I have three 70s Kawasakis, a Kz200, a Kz400, and a Kz650. My first bike was a Honda CX500, and on my dream list are a BMW R65, a Royal Enfield, and an Allstate Puch 250.

I also play music. I currently have a Fender Jazzmaster, an Ovation Viper solid body, a Framus bass, and an old Decca hollow body guitar. My amps are a Peavey Classic 50 and a Vox Pathfinder 15R.

I'm just getting into cosplay. My teenagers are into it, and they invited me to attend a local anime/sci-fi convention, so I went as Rick Grimes from The Walking Dead. My daughter went as Carl. It was pretty cool.

That's all for now. I'll update this periodically as things change.
