Raid on Entebbe is a 1977 television film directed by Irvin Kershner (The Empire Strikes Back) based on the true story of the Israeli commando mission to liberate the hostages at the Entebbe Airport in Kampala, Uganda, on July 4, 1976. The film stars Charles Bronson, Horst Buchholz, Peter Finch, James Woods, and Yaphet Kotto as Uganda President Idi Amin.
The following weapons were used in the film Raid on Entebbe:
Most of the soldiers of the Israeli commando use IMI Uzi submachine guns.
(Fake) Uzi
Some of the Uzis (some with fixed wooden buttstocks, others with folding stocks) appear to be MAC-10s that have been visually modified to resemble the Uzi, fitted with Uzi barrels, front/rear sights, forward grips, and stocks. These prop weapons also appear in several other Hollywood movies, including The Dogs of War and Stripes.
Madsen M50
Some terrorists carry the Madsen M50 submachine guns.
