The AKM is similar to the older milled design, but note the "dimples" on the side of the receiver just above the mag-well are much smaller. Also note the 3 rivets on either side of the front, connecting the stamped reciever to the front milled trunion, and the 2 rivets at the rear connecting it to the milled rear trunion.
