Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is a 1998 film, set in the early 1970's, directed by Terry Gilliam, starring Benicio Del Toro as Oscar Z. Acosta (with the alias in the film of Dr. Gonzo) along with Johnny Depp as Hunter S. Thompson (Playing under the name of his pen name of Raoul Duke). It follows Duke and Gonzo through Las Vegas, whilst under the influence of every hallucinogenic drug known to mankind. The film is based on (the real) Hunter S. Thompson's novel of the same name.
Smith and Wesson Model 19
The main gun seen in the film, referred to as a "357", is held by both characters in the film, and is only fired by Duke in the latter stages of the film.
Hunting Shotguns
Seen briefly in the hands of three spectators by Duke when he is covering the motorbike race in the desert of Nevada.
