:::The reason for deja-vu of the page is probably the fact that there were much more information on film's page itself - I remember seeing concept art for COP 357 Derringer which was probably deleted. As for fictional firearms - guidelines and standards are somewhat unclear and all of the pages on fictional firearms look differently, just check this and this. I'm going to re-write at least the Terminator ones and Podbyrin according to guidelines. Information on replicas was added as Trivia (and to be fair - what else to add on fictional firearms rather then, mostly, trivia?) and for possible positive identification in case they manage to pop up in some other production in a way some other fictional firearms like Podbyrin and Auto-9 do. Please leave more specific comments on how you'd like the page to be condensed and re-written. --Kloga (talk) 07:20, 16 July 2016 (EDT) | :::The reason for deja-vu of the page is probably the fact that there were much more information on film's page itself - I remember seeing concept art for COP 357 Derringer which was probably deleted. :::: Pieces like images of the real weapon components it was built off of and such might be one thing, but I don't think it's on us to provide all those external links, particularly the ones for the propbuilders - smacks a bit of advertising, and it's not something done on any other fictional weapon pages that I'm aware (nor real ones, for that matter). Otherwise, all the other images and such just makes the main page look a bit cluttered, hence why I suggested moving some of that here to the discussion page. It's what I did for the Lawgiver MkII page. StanTheMan (talk) 19:13, 16 July 2016 (EDT) |
Revision as of 23:13, 16 July 2016
This page doesn't follow much of the typically recognized formatting or layout standards and is all over the place with numerous additional (and arguably extraneous) images and sections, including a section on 'Replicas' which I think is a tad outside our scope. I really think the page should really be condensed and refocused with most of that secondary material moved here, if not deleted. Wasn't there already another page for this gun, BTW? - You'd think there would be. I'm a bit surprised it took this long. --Funkychinaman (talk) 16:04, 14 July 2016 (EDT)
