The other sidearm carried by the Marine pilots is the Colt M1911A1.

Japanese machine guns
The Japanese planes in the film are armed with six machine guns, three mounted on each wing. In reality, the Japanese in World War II never had any fighters with six machine guns in the wings, so these guns are likely mockups/acetylene gas guns.
