John Wick is a 2014 action thriller starring Keanu Reeves as the title character, a retired hitman who seeks vengeance against a mobster's son and his cronies for stealing his car and killing his puppy, a final gift from his deceased wife. The film was directed by Chad Stahelski and David Leitch (both were veteran stunt and action coordinators in the film business prior to their feature film directing debut here, although Leitch is uncredited).
