The following guns were used in the movie 28 Weeks Later
Browning M2
The Browning M2 can be seen in both fixed position mounts and atop vehicles in 28 Weeks Later. It is used on screen briefly when the infected break out of the buildings and are fired upon with the Browning M2. Also, when the train carrying the returning refugees pulls into the rail station a fortified position sporting an M2HB is visible through the window.
Barrett M107/M82
One of the snipers in an early scene can be briefly seen with an M107/M82 sniper rifle. It later makes small appearances in the scene where the soldiers snipe the infected from the rooftops.
Unknown Flamethrower
Used by an Army Sweeper team, this unknown flamethrower is used to burn the dead infected. I could only get one good picture of it, though.
M4/M4A1
The standard assault rifle for the 82nd troops deployed in Britain. Seen in the hands of literally hundreds of troops throughout the movie. Sgt. Doyle (Jeremy Renner) notably wields a highly customized version after he leaves the roof. Just before his sacrifice, he leaves the weapon for Scarlet (Rose Byrne), who later uses the night vision to help the kids and herself navigate through the pitch-black subway tunnels. Tammy (Imogen Poots) also uses the weapon at the film’s climax to kill her infected father. She then drops the weapon and leaves it on the subway floor.
Faulty Sights
Doyle’s (Jeremy Renner) M4’s EOTech sight, with the PVS-14 NVG sight get a lot of screen time. He definitely needs to adjust the crosshairs, though, because of the wild hits. Also because of the lack of a holographic reticle.
M4 + M203
A few soldiers are seen with the M203 launcher attached to their M4 assualt rifles.
M16A1 + M203
A soldier is seen on patrol with an out-of-date M16A1.
- Are you sure that's not a M16A2? User:AdAstra2009
- Yeah, it's hard to tell, but it looks to me like it at least has a brass deflector, which the A1 doesn't have I can't tell if the rear sight is A2-style. If not, it's probably a Diemaco C7/Colt Model 715. -MT2008
Beretta M9
The standard sidearm for the U.S. troops. Scarlet (Rose Byrne) uses one notably to kill an infected Captain, then it is seen in her M12 holster until the end of the movie.
M21 DMR
M21 Designated Marksmen Rifle is used by 90% of the Delta rooftop snipers. Doyle Jeremy Renner also uses one.
M240
Seen briefly being fired when the infected are breaking out and also on an Army PT boat.
M249 SAW
M249 SAW Squad Automatic Weapon is used by several U.S. Army soldiers throughout.
M24 SWS
The Army’s bolt action Sniper Weapon System is seen in the hands of a rooftop sniper.
Mp5a5
The Heckler & Koch MP5A5 is seen being used by Flynn Harold Perrineau. He jokingly pulls it on Doyle when he scares him and later when the kids confront him near the end of the movie.
Knights Armament SR-25
Knight's Arament SR-25 is used by a crazed sniper to kill one survivor, wound Scarlet, and finally shoot at Andy until Doyle scores a headshot and kills him.
- It can't be an SR-25. Look at the mag, it's curved. I don't remember any curved magazines for that kind of weapon. Excalibur01 21:34, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, that's a Mk 12 SPR MOD 0 User:AdAstra2009 the magazine also is not long enough in addition to the fact it's curved.
Unknown Shotgun
Seen being held by a soldier. It is never seen again, though.
Heckler & Koch USP
Doyle (Jeremy Renner) seems to have a Heckler & Koch USP in a thigh holster.
