Gamera 2: Attack of Legion (ガメラ2 レギオン襲来 Gamera Tsū: Region Shūrai) is the 10th entry in the Daiei produced Gamera film series and the second in Heisei period trilogy, preceded by Gamera: Guardian of the Universe (1995) and followed by Gamera 3: The Revenge of Iris (1999). In this film Gamera defends Earth against a hoard of extraterrestrial insectoid creatures, called "Legion" (after a Biblical demon hoard).

Minebea P9
In the climactic scene Colonel Watarase (Toshiyuki Nagashima) uses a Minebea P9 pistol against a Legion insectoid.
Assault Rifles
Howa Type 89
JGSDF personnel are armed with Howa Type 89 assault rifles. A real unit of JGSDF, carrying genuine Type 89 rifles, participated in filming. Replica guns are also used when hold by by actors.
Machine Guns and Automatic Cannons
Browning M2HB Machine Gun
Browning M2HB heavy machine guns are mounted on Type 90 and Type 74 tanks and Type 82 CCVs.
M197 Vulcan
20-mm M197 Vulcan three barreled guns are mounted on AH-1S Cobra attack helicopters. Real JGSDF AH-1s appear in the movie.
M61 Vulcan
20-mm M61 Vulcan six-barrel guns are mounted on JASDF F-1 fighter planes.
25-mm Oerlikon KBA Automatic Cannon
25-mm Oerlikon KBA automatic cannons are mounted on Type 87 reconnaissance vehicle.
35-mm Oerlikon KDA Automatic Cannon
A Type 87 SPAAG with twin 35-mm Oerlikon KDA automatic cannons is used in battle.
Other Weapons
Unidentified Flare pistol
In the climactic scene Colonel Watarase (Toshiyuki Nagashima) uses a flare pistol to to give the signal for the attack of helicopters.
Type 79 Jyu-MAT
Type 79 Jyu-MAT AT missiles are used against Mother Legion.
