Cross Academy is an elite boarding school with two separate, isolated classes: the Day Class and the Night Class. On the surface, Yuuki Cross and Zero Kiryuu are prefects of the academy, and attempt to keep order between the students as classes rotate in the evenings. As the Night Class is full of utterly gorgeous elites, this can sometimes prove to be a bit difficult. It is completely necessary, however, as those "elites" are actually vampires. Yuuki and Zero act as guardians, protecting the secrets of the Night Class and the safety of their ignorant morning counterparts.

The following firearms were seen in the anime television series Vampire Knight:

M1911 Custom "Bloody Rose"

Main character Zero Kiryuu uses a customized M1911 pistol that fires anti-vampire bullets, named "Bloody Rose". This variant has aesthetic feautures such as an engraved slide, ejection port, and recoil spring plug. The handgun possesses Novak sights and has a lanyard loop to which a metal lanyard chain is attached. It appears to have a stainless/nickel finish and wood grips. Zero uses this powerful weapon to dispatch low level vampires in one shot and severely wound high level ones.
