The Type 79 hand grenade is available to the PLA Assault and Support kits.
I couldn't find anything about a Chinese Type 79 hand grenade that looks like the BF2MC Type 79 on the Chinese internet. The one hand grenade designated "Type 79" is a rare handheld rocket propelled hand grenade with an egg-shaped warhead that looks very different from what's in BF2MC. --Wuzh (talk) 04:14, 11 June 2020 (EDT)

:Maybe it ended up getting mislabeled from "Type 67?" I will be getting a few more images of the emplaced/vehicle weapons and then I think this game will be ready for proper page status. Unfortunately, the MEC weapons are only in the long-shut down MP mode, sadly :(--AgentGumby (talk) 09:44, 11 June 2020 (EDT)
(I couldn't find much info about the real one (provided that it's the actual design seen in-game), but it's apparently similar to the Type 67 stick grenade).
:Wanna run that by me one more time? I think I might've misheard you, because it sounded like you just said "rocket propelled hand grenade". Pyr0m4n14c (talk) 10:00, 11 June 2020 (EDT)

:: Yup, rocket propelled hand grenade. It's basically a stick grenade with a rocket inside the handle. You can use it like a normal stick grenade if you activate the pull fuze on the warhead and throw it. Or you can use it like a single use grenade launcher by pressing a button on the grip, which triggers the rocket and launches the warhead, which is then triggered by its other base percussion fuze. The covering on the grip is removable, and becomes the iron sights when it's attached to a slot on the side. The launch has a maximum range of 400 meters, but isn't very accurate. --Wuzh (talk) 11:21, 11 June 2020 (EDT)

:::: Not sure how painful firing this thing would be, but there has been statements about the rocket burning its users, which contributed to the grenade being abandoned and not adopted.--Wuzh (talk) 03:53, 12 June 2020 (EDT)

Discussion

What's the US shotgun? Definitely not a SPAS-12 by default.

I'm an idiot. Going to the PC section to look.

Glock looks like a 19 to me

It looks too small to be an actual 17 and it has a 19 grip.--FIVETWOSEVEN 14:16, 22 August 2010 (UTC)

MEC sidearm

The MEC handgun isn't an MR-444, at least on the PS2 version. It's the Beretta M951, possibly the Egyptian or Iraqi clone. The Wierd It 10:17, 25 January 2012 (CST)

It's pretty interesting to see how the console version of Battlefield 2 is so much different from the PC version. Unlike Battlefield 3 :\ --Masterius 09:20, 28 January 2012 (CST)
