Schwarzesmarken (シュヴァルツェスマーケン) is a 2016 anime series based on the light novel and visual novel game of the same name. The events took place in the Muv-Luv Alternative universe.
In an alternative time line, humanity is fighting a desperate battle against an overwhelming invading army of alien species collectively known as BETA (Beings of the Extra Terrestrial origin which is Adversary of the human race).
