The Drummer's Fate (original title Sudba barabanshchika) is a 1955 Soviet B&W children adventure movie directed by Viktor Eisymont and based on the novel by Arkadi Gajdar. The story takes place in late 1930s USSR. The main character is twelve years old boy Seryozha Batashov, the son of military engineer Pyotr Batashov. Once a secret document that Batashov kept at home was lost due to negligence of Batashov's wife Valentina, Seryozha's stepmother. Batashov is suspected in espionage and arrested, Valentina immediately divorces him and soon leaves the town with her new husband, so Seryozha remains alone. After some time a stranger appears and claims himself to be Valentina's brother. Soon the boy spots strange activities of "Unkle Vasya" who is very interested in Batashov's works.
The following weapons were used in the film The Drummer's Fate (Sudba barabanshchika):
FN Model 1900
An FN Model 1900 that belongs to Valentina's new husband Viktor Belyaev (Lev Lobov) is an important plot device.
Mosin Nagant M1907 Carbine
On the photo that depicts Pyotr Batashov, his friend Nikolay Polovtsev and Batashov's late wife during the Russian Civil war both Batashov and Polovtsev carry rifles that appear to be Mosin Nagant M1907 Carbines.
Mosin Nagant Rifle
Mosin Nagant rifles of unclear version are seen in Batashov's dream about his participation during the Russian Civil war.
