The White Guard (Belaya gvardiya) is a Russian 2012 screen adaptation of the same title novel by Mikhail Bulgakov. The mini-series is directed by Sergey Snezhkin and depicts the fate of the family of Turbins during the Russian Civil War in the city of Kiev.
The following weapons were used in the film The White Guard (Belaya gvardiya):
Revolvers
Nagant M1895
Nagant M1895 revolvers are carried by most White officers, including Poruchik (Lt.) Shervinskiy (Evgeniy Dyatlov), Capt. Talberg (Igor Chernevich), Poruchik Stepanov (Evgeniy Stychkin), Col. Malyshev (Aleksey Guskov), Capt. Studzinskiy (Andrey Zibrov), Capt. Pleshko (Vladimir Vdovichenkov), Poruchik Zamanskiy (Artur Vakha), Warrant Officer Shchur (Igor Vernik), and others. Dr. Aleksey Turbin (Konstantin Khabenskiy) uses a Nagant in one scene. All revolvers are of post-1930 model.
Reichsrevolver M1879
A Reichsrevolver M1879 is Mikhail Shpolyanskiy's (Fyodor Bondarchuk) sidearm.
Webley Bulldog
Poruchik (Lt.) Viktor Myshlaevskiy (Mikhail Porechenkov) owns a nickel plated Webley Bulldog revolver. Later the revolver is stolen by a criminal Volk (Evgeniy Efremov) and used by him to rob a richman Vasiliy Lisovich (Yuriy Itskov), a neighbor of Turbins.
Pistols
Mauser C96
Poruchik (Lt.) Viktor Myshlaevskiy (Mikhail Porechenkov) carries a Mauser C96 in typical wooden holster. A Mauser C96 is also seen in hands of nationalist Ukrainian troops Col. Kozyr-Leshko (Sergey Garmash).
Vis wz. 35
Col. Feliks Nay-Turs (Aleksey Serebryakov) carries an anachronistic Vis wz. 35 pistol. In the original novel his sidearm is a Colt M1911.
FN Model 1910/22
Dr. Aleksey Turbin (Konstantin Khabenskiy) owns an FN Model 1910/22 pistol, standing for more appropriated FN Model 1910. An FN Model 1910/22 is also seen in hands of Ivan Rusakov (Dmitriy Lysenkov).
FN Model 1905
In one scene Mikhail Shpolyanskiy (Fyodor Bondarchuk) gives a pocket pistol that appears to be an FN Model 1905 to Yuliya Reyss (Ekaterina Vilkova). She uses the pistol in the final scene. An FN Model 1905 is also seen in hands of Ivan Rusakov (Dmitriy Lysenkov); later it swiches to FN Model 1910/22.
Luger P08
In one scene an Imperial German Army officer holds a Luger P08.
Shotguns
Double Barreled Shotgun
A Double Barreled Shotgun is seen in one scene in hands of a robber.
Rifles
Mosin Nagant M1891/30
Most infantry soldiers of White Guard, Red Army and nationalist Ukrainian troops are armed with Mosin Nagant M1891/30 rifles, standing for original M1891s.
Mosin Nagant M1891
Some original Mosin Nagant M1891 rifles are also seen.
Mosin Nagant M1938 Carbine
Most cavalrymen of Col. Kozyr-Leshko's unit are armed with anachronistic Mosin Nagant M1938 Carbines.
Mauser Gewehr 1898
Mauser Gewehr 1898 rifles are briefly seen in several scenes.
Machine Guns
Maxim M1910
Maxim M1910 machine guns are seen in several scenes. They are identified by smooth cooling jackets (though it's possible that these are visuially modified M1910/30s).
Maxim M1910/30
A Maxim M1910/30 machine gun with post-1941 top hatch on cooling jacket is mounted on Garford-Putilov Armoured Car (two other machine guns on the armoured car have smooth cooling jackets, like M1910s).
Maxim M1910/30 (visually modified to resemble Maxim MG08)
During the street fight Col. Feliks Nay-Turs (Aleksey Serebryakov) and Pvt. Nikolay Turbin (Nikolay Efremov) man a machine gun that looks mostly like a German Maxim MG08 but appears to be a Russian Maxim (most likely M1910/30). The detail that allows to identify the real model is a cartridge belt that is filled with rimmed cartridges, matching Russian 7.62x54R.
Degtyaryov DT (visually modified to resemble Lewis)
A Degtyaryov DT, visually modified to resemble Lewis Gun, is seen among other weapons when the unit of Col. Malyshev (Aleksey Guskov) readies for battle.
Lewis
A genuine Lewis Gun is seen in the same scene.
Trivia
Garford-Putilov Armoured Car
A very detailed replica of Garford-Putilov armoured car of WW1 era was built specially for the filming. Like the original vehicle, the movie armoured car is armed with a 76.2-mm cannon and three Maxim machine guns.
M1902/30 76.2-mm Field Cannon
76.2-mm field cannons are seen in several scenes. These are M1902/30s, standing for original M1902s.
