The Bridge (aka Bron in Sweden and Broen in Denmark) is a television mystery crime series that centers around Saga Noren (Sofia Helin), a emotionally detached detective from Sweden and her Danish counterpart Martin Rohde (Kim Bodnia). The duo find themselves working together when the body of a politician is found bisected on the border between Sweden and Denmark on the Oresund Bridge. Their investigation uncovers a ruthless serial killer hell-bent on revenge and serving his own twisted sense of justice. The series, which premiered in 2011 and was a Swedish/Denmark co-production, was adapted as the US/Mexico-produced series The Bridge (2013), and the UK/French-produced series The Tunnel.
