The SAR 21 ("Singapore Assault Rifle - 21st Century") is a bullpup assault rifle designed and manufactured in Singapore by ST Kinetics, formerly known as CIS (Chartered Industries of Singapore). First revealed and subsequently adopted by the Singapore Armed Forces in 1999, to replace the standard issue M16S1.
