| Dorky plane complaint: Wouldn't the jetwash from the front engines disrupt the airflow to the rear engines? --Funkychinaman (talk) 11:55, 25 September 2013 (EDT)
| |
|
| |
| :The mounts for the engines look overly complicated to me, so my guess is that the plane will turn out to be a VTOL. In that case the only time the rear engines would be needed is for that, when the front engines would be pointing down away from them. Am I correct in thinking that this is a C-17 with bits bolted/CG'd on? (and by bits I mainly mean the second set of lower tail fins with the rear engines) --commando552 (talk) 12:17, 25 September 2013 (EDT)

| ::It looks like a C-17 to me as well. The hanger has a cutout for the plane's vertical stabilizer, but won't work for this plane since it has a T-tail. I can't tell from the shots if that will be a problem for this plane. --Funkychinaman (talk) 12:27, 25 September 2013 (EDT)
| |
| :::Found another image from a new trailer:Pretty sure it is a C-17, and it keeps the T tail so god knows how they get it out of that hanger. Luckily, in the shot where the plane is leaving the hanger the design of the door has conveniently changed to accomodate it:I think this is either a different hanger or has been massively structurally altered as there is no way the the slot in the top of the hanger is getting wider without a lot of support beams disappearing.--commando552 (talk) 12:50, 25 September 2013 (EDT)
| |
| the design of the hanger is nothing new probably originally made for 747s back in the late 1960s

| I wouldn't read into it too much, its probably ment to be Stark tech or something,so super unrealistic in real world setting, then again this is a show about super heroes. The taildoor also can apparently lift at least 5 tons (both cars standing on it) , although that my be lack of knowledge on my part? --Iceman (talk) 05:17, 26 September 2013 (EDT)
| |
| :You should know in fiction anything that lifts can lift infinite weight. Especially any kind of lifting bridge, I know at least two games (Valkyria Chronicles and Turning Point: Fall of Liberty) where lift bridges still function despite having enough tanks on them to collapse them entirely.
| |
| Yeah I ment it that maybe it ignorance on my part and it can be done in real life, my knowledge of cargo aircraft is non-existant at best, besides they always give iron mans armor sets a definite amount of strenght in tons (higly unrealistic ussually) but still --Iceman (talk) 15:02, 26 September 2013 (EDT)

| ::The ramp is very capable of doing that, in fact it is designed to be used as a loading aid with pallets being put onto the ramp, and then raising the ramp to get them to slide them into the plane. When fully loaded the last four of the 18 pallets a C-17 can carry are put on the ramp, and each pallet can weigh about 10,000 pounds. This suggests that the ramp is capable of lifting at least 18 tonnes. --commando552 (talk) 16:53, 26 September 2013 (EDT)

| :I think this was cut out of the episode. In the part where Coulson and that woman are fighting together spinning around, there is a cut where they skip half of a turn. It looks really odd, as it just skips a second for seemingly no reason. One would assume they cut it for time, but cutting out something in the middle of a shot is a really odd way to do it. --commando552 (talk) 11:26, 2 October 2013 (EDT)

| == 1911 variant? ==
| |
|
| |
| Not sure what this is, but don't think it is a Colt. It has slanted slide serrations and a commander style hammer (but with what looks like a regular M1911A1 style grip safety):
| |
|
| |
| My guess is that it is an Auto Ord variant (my other guess would be a Springfield Armory, but I think if it was that you would be able to see a large logo on the slide) but I don't really know enough about them to tell for sure. | Skye had some gun tucked into her pants on the Bus that Ward later took away from her. Looked like a Glock 26, or possibly a M&P Compact. Anyone else see it?--Mandolin (talk) 15:31, 1 May 2014 (EDT)

| == Season 3 is out, boys ==
| |
|
| |
| I observed the following things when I watched the first episode of Season 3 - The M&P is still the service firearm of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents; Government agents, including Rosalind Price (Constance Zimmer)'s bodyguards, sre seen with modified Tokyo Marui Strike Warrior GBB pistols; Aside from the TM pistols, operatives also armed with (presumably) M4 carbines; The Moroccans are seen firing unknown pistols at Fitz's car when chasing him in Tangier (the shot was too fast for me to identify the weapon used). Fitz is seen firing a Remington shotgun (the same one used by Mack in S2, I bet) at a container, in which the rack holding the long guns are also seen with M4s
